About Bougie Dogs

What is Bougie?
The Urban dictionary defines Bougie as anything that is perceived as “upscale” from a blue-collar point of view. Bougie’ (pronounced boo’-she) refers to the middle-class in Europe, but refers to a more affluent class level in the United States.  or  Aspiring to be a higher class than one is. Our definition of Bougie Dogs is that any dog can be Bougie (upper class).  Some dogs are born being Bougie. A great example of this is Magnus. Magnus is a Standard Poodle. He knows his worth.  Magnus was born Bougie. Stella is a Mixed Pit.   She is not the typical Bougie Dog, but Stella is Bougie.  Her worth is not measurable.  All dogs can be Bougie.  The purpose of this Blog is to raise awareness to issues that keep a dog from being Bougie.  We will have photo competitions with great prizes for “Bougie Dogs“.   We will have tips to help you keep your Bougie Dog safe, health and happy.
One aspect and the key mission of Bougie Dogs is to help dogs that aren’t Bougie.  We will do this by featuring adoptable dogs so that they can find a Bougie Home.  We will also share dogs that have been lost in hopes that they can be reunited.    All posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter will be closely monitored to keep out judgement and shame.  Many pet owners just don’t know the right things to do.   We are all learning what is best and shaming or demeaning people helps no one.    My hope is that we can raise awareness about the dangers dogs face.
